Welcome to Cwmbiga Cottages! Our two dog-friendly holiday cottages are set in the rich wildlife habitat of the Hafren Forest. Each sleeping up to seven, our Mid Wales holiday lets provide an ideal rural retreat and a great base for an outdoor activity holiday, a quiet or romantic break or a get-together with friends and family.

A 60-acre smallholding and wildlife haven set in its own valley in the Hafren Forest, 9 miles away from the market town of Llanidloes. The beautiful Clywedog Reservoir (renowned for its fly fishing) is a few minutes away and forest walks taking in waterfalls and mountain views start from the doorstep. The Glyndwr's Way passes half a mile from us and we are 4 miles from the source of the Severn, the start of the Severn Way and the Wye Valley Walk. Cwmbiga is also on National Cycle Route 8, Lon Las Cymru. The sandy beach of Aberdyfi is only a 40 minute drive away - worth doing for the stunning mountain scenery alone along the way!

If you are looking for a comfortable break in a lovely rural location with abundant wildlife, then our holiday cottages will fit the bill! The 4* cottages sleep 7 and are well-equipped, have underfloor heating, leather sofas and a woodburner for cosy Winter nights in, and also have an enclosed patio area outside, a barbeque and even a hammock looking across the gardens for balmy Summer evenings.

Come and explore this beautiful undiscovered part of Wales!

"Our group of two brothers and sisters and our dog Marley were warmly welcomed by Sarah and Craig. The cottage is lovely in a stunning location in the middle of the forest....If you like wildlife then this is definitely the place for you. There were loads of birds to see out of the kitchen window including a woodpecker that kept on showing it's face...Would 100% recommend this beautiful place to everybody and cannot wait to go back."
